Mint Breathalyzer Monitors Oral Health

Mint Breathalyzer Monitors Oral Health
Sep-27-16
The Mint mobile breathalyzer can test a person’s breath for signs of poor oral hygiene in just seconds.

Developed by Breathometer, the small, handheld Mint device is outfitted with an array of sensors able to measure the volatile sulfur compounds (VSC) in the person’s breath. That data can then be used to determine if the user has bad breath, as well as track indicators of possible gum disease. The information is sent to a paired smartphone app via Bluetooth, and the system will also offer advice on how to set and reach personal oral hygiene goals.
