Mobilyze Helps Keep Tabs of Your Mood

People suffering from depression may get an extra bit of virtual help with the Mobilyze app, which can help them stay in touch with their moods.

Depressed people can often sink deeper into depression without being aware. The Mobilyze app is able to analyze data on location, social and physical activity, and real time activity to determine if the user if behaving normally or if they are showing indicators of depressive activity. The data will come from sensors already in most smartphones, such as GPS, accelerometers, and gyros. If the user shows signs of being depressed, the phone will provide texts to the user or their friends and family.

The app has been successfully tested on eight patients, who all showed signs of improvement at the end of the trial.
