Modular Pedesta Bridge for Hard to Reach Sites

Modular Pedesta Bridge for Hard to Reach Sites
Mar-21-17
The modular Pedesta bridge system from Arup can bridge gaps in sites where large machinery cannot reach.

The Pedesta bridge is made up of one-meter long modules that are fully customizable, including color and material. The modules are designed to be attached to each other with bolted shear connections and then post-tensioned, allowing the bridge to reach across distances up to almost 100 feet. The lightweight modules are also easy to transport and assemble, and are resistant to fire, UV radiation, and vandalism.

This item should be modified for homes. Modules in different forms and colours supply furniture, movable walls allow changes between rooms, enable changing interiors and firm mountings to shelves and equipment etc. Long-lasting modules would be sold and bought on aftermarket, so this might reduce also waste.
