Motorola's Scout Traks Monitors Pets in Real Time

Oct-18-17 Motorola has joined the pet tracking market with its Scout Traks, which offers real-time alerts and geo-fencing.

The Scout Traks attaches to the pet’s collar, and is small enough to be worn comfortably by most dogs. Once in place, the sturdy, waterproof device will track the pet’s location via GPS, while also monitoring the ambient temperature. If the pet strays from an assigned area or if the temperature reaches dangerous levels, the companion app will send an alert to a paired device.

In addition to tracking location, the Scout Traks will also monitor the animal’s activity level and compares it to similar breeds, enabling the owner to better choose exercise and feeding routines for their pet.
