Motorola Scout 5000 Brings Connectivity to Dogs

Motorola Scout 5000 Brings Connectivity to Dogs
Jan-13-15
Being called a smartphone for dogs, the Motorola Scout 5000 lets pet owners track their dog's location and even communicate with them remotely.

The Scout 5000 is equipped with a GPS tracker, WiFi and cellular 3G connectivity, and a wide-angle camera able to capture 720p video. When paired with a smartphone, the connected collar lets pet owners keep track of their dog's location or peek into its life via live streaming video. Owners can also create a "virtual fence," which will trigger a smartphone alert if the dog leaves its boundaries, and the system will send a "bark alert" to let owners know when their pet is barking at something.
