The innovative Multi Scoop Pro from Studio Rotor can transform from a stretcher to a wheelchair—saving space and time. Still in the working prototype phase, the Multi Scoop Pro could help save space in ambulances and increase patient comfort. As a standard scoop stretcher, it can separate into halves to ‘scoop’ under the patient—the preferred method for transporting suspected spinal injuries. For lighter injuries, however, the Multi Scoop Pro can be transformed into a wheelchair, and even an emergency gear hauler. Weighing only 22 pounds, the novel device offers a lightweight and novel alternative to traditional emergency responder gear.
