The thumbnail-mounted NailO trackpad puts a tiny trackpad at your fingertips to allow one-handed (and discreet) operation of digital devices.
Inspired by ornamental nail art, the NailO is equipped with a battery, microcontroller, capacitive sensors and a capacitive-sensing chip, and Bluetooth. By moving the index finger along the device, the user can direct a mouse or toggle certain functions on a paired device, including answering the phone, changing the screen on a digital display or sending a surreptitious text message. The development team also envisions the touchpad having different decorative "membranes" that could be changed according to the user's style.
