The Neurocam prototype headset will read the wearer's mind, automatically recording an image of whatever the wearer finds interesting.
The Neurocam operates by using sensors that detect the electrical activity in the user’s brain and assigning an interest level based on the level of activity. If the level rises above 60 (on a scale of 1 to 100), the headset’s camera will automatically record a five-second clip of whatever is in its line of sight. The clips are then stamped with the date and location and stored for later viewing.
Practical applications of the Neurocam include advertising and allowing urban planners to determine the most appealing areas of cities.
