Non-Toxic Solarpuff Inflatable Solar Lantern

Non-Toxic Solarpuff Inflatable Solar Lantern
Jan-26-15
The Solarpuff inflatable solar lantern brings light to off-grid areas while also incorporating non-toxic and recyclable PET into its build.

Inspired by the needs of the Haiti earthquake survivors, the cube-shaped Solarpuff is equipped with a solar panel, lithium-ion battery and an array of LED lights. The lamp can pack flat for transport or storage, and will provide up to eight hours of light after a full charge. Although there are other inflatable solar lights on the market already, the Solarpuff stands out with its use of non-toxic PET (instead of the more common PVC), which has been shaped to inflate into a cube.

The Solarpuff was a Top Ten Finalist for the Verizon Powerful Answers Award, 2014.
