Ocean Guardian BOAT01 Long-Range Shark Deterrent

Aug-17-19 The Ocean Guardian Boat01 is the world’s first long-range shark deterrent system developed specifically for boaters.

Although shark attacks are relatively rare, no one wants to be the victim of one. To help increase swimmer safety—and confidence—the Ocean Guardian BOAT01 was created for use while swimming from a boat or jetty. The device is deployed from the back of the ship, where it will emit powerful electrical impulses that cause the shark extreme but temporary discomfort, triggering it to leave the area. The virtual safety net will reach about 20 feet in diameter and 26 feet deep, and several of the BOAT01 devices can be connected for a larger protective area.
