Mar-24-12
In another attempt the re-invent the wheelchair, a Japanese scientist has created the Permoveh, which can move sideways on its omnidirectional wheels.

Developed by Komori Masaharu of Kyoto University, the Permoveh (Personal Mobile Vehicle) is able to navigate small spaces more easily. Besides the standard forward and back motions, the device can also move side to side or along a diagonal line.

The technology could also be applied to conveyor belts in manufacturing businesses.

Excellent invention. Very useful for handicapped.
I think the technology can apply to cars for easy parking.
