ONwheel Gives Bikes a Boost

ONwheel Gives Bikes a Boost
Aug-28-15
The ONwheel from go-e attaches on the underside of a regular bike to give it an electric boost.

Created by the Austrian start-up go-e, the ONwheel stands out from similar e-bike kits in that it can be installed on just about any bike in minutes with just a few simple tools—allowing the user to remove it for safekeeping when not needed. Once mounted in place, a sensor on the device will detect when the rider starts pedaling, triggering the ONwheel’s swingarm to contact the bike’s rear tire. The spinning rollers in the swingarm then provide a measure of power assist, which can be controlled via a handlebar unit or a smartphone app.
