Read My Lips(23)Aug-31-10 Well, with the Babelfisk glasses, the deaf wouldn't have to... These concept glasses would hear what you are saying and then display your words in text form on the lenses.Microphones in the frames pick up the voice and an embedded speech to text program would decipher your words. It would also incorporate a flash memory card for later playback. ![]() More Info:[DVICE.COM][MSH DESIGN] [NEXT]
Commentson Read My Lipswell....its cool!!!!!!!!!!=) Posted by gabby-rella ramos on September 1, 2010 Such a very important piece of gadget for our fellow humans who are deaf and with this gadget, they can now talk with confidence. Posted by Guy M. Dumlao on September 6, 2010 this is interesting. my inlaws are deaf & dumb, so this invention can help them so much. now where can I get this product? and what is the cost of it? and one more suggestion. it would be more better if there is also a option of their sign language.because grammatically they are not that much sound in country like India. Posted by yogesh patel on September 6, 2010 Looks promising, but I am not sure if with the current model the letters can actually be seen due to problems with focus, the letters might be to close for correct focus, which can lead to dizziness and even instabillity. It might however be an idea to combine the so-called "virtual reality glassess" which are sold world-wide and provide the option to see movies and play games with a console that is actually a small headset/glasses. The downside would be that you are not able to see both the person you are talking to and the "subbtitles" at the same time, but this can be compensated by adding a little camera on the front of the glasses so the person wearing the glasses does see the person he is talking to and read what he/she says as "subtitles, just like Tv... Just a suggestion. I don't know how many ppl there still are that remain deaf after all the new inventions available to regain hearing. but there might be a market for such a tool. Posted by Tamar Alkobi on September 6, 2010 it is very inspiring as it makes the life of handicapped easier,Hats off to the inventors Posted by Himanshu Kumar on September 7, 2010 How long distance will be acceptable...
