Rescue Tip-Board Dips to Bring Victims on Board

Rescue Tip-Board Dips to Bring Victims on Board
Oct-20-14
The Rescue Tip-Board inflatable raft was intentionally designed to tip in order to make it easier to pull victims from the water.

Created by a team from Spark Design, the Rescue-Tip Board features an angled, flat section at one end for the rescue worker to stand on, causing the raft to dip one end into the water. This dip makes it much easier for the worker to then pull the victim on board the raft by simply grasping the individual and leaning backwards. The raft can be transported in a backpack, and is inflated using an attached compressed air cylinder that readies the raft for use in just seconds.

Having carried out hundreds of rescues, I would recommend.
It would have made a lot more sense if the casualty recovery had been at the front. The upraised piece would have assisted the vessel to get up on plain, You would have also been able to have an outboard (with a protected prop) on the back, enabling a speedier recovery, the only problem would be the person in charge of the outboard would have to remember to switch it off during tipping to stop engine racing.
