Responsive Garments React to Temperature and Stress

Responsive Garments React to Temperature and Stress
Sep-14-15
Intel has taken a step into the clothing design arena with its “responsive garments” that will change form automatically based on the wearer’s stress level or temperature.

Intel developed the garment collection in collaboration with the clothing designer Chromat to showcase the Intel Curie module and illustrate the potential of technology and fashion. The line includes two items: the Chromat Adreneline dress that responds to adrenaline by forming an hourglass shape (inspired by how birds fluff to look bigger) and the Chromat Aero Sports Bra, which will open its cooling vents in response to the wearer’s temperature.

Both garments are for demonstration purposes only, as the Intel Curie module is still pending FCC authorization.
