RFID-Blocking Betabrand Jeans Prevent Identity Theft

RFID-Blocking Betabrand Jeans Prevent Identity Theft
Dec-24-14
Developed in partnership with Norton, the RFID-blocking jeans and blazer from Betabrand will prevent digital pick pocketing.

According to sources, more than 10 million identities are digitally pick pocketed annually, mostly commonly using a RFID/NFC reader to scan credit cards while they are still in the owner's pocket. To add a new level of security, Betabrand teamed with the security company Norton to develop the READY Active Jeans and Work-It Blazer. The jeans and the blazer are both outfitted with pockets lined with fabric that will block RFID signals, preventing the information from being scanned.
