Robo-Eel Envirobot Tests Water Quality

Robo-Eel Envirobot Tests Water Quality
Jul-27-17
The Envirobot robo-eel will slither through the water to test for pollution without disturbing the environment.

Developed by the team from l’École, the four-foot long robotic eel consists of several segments each equipped with a specialized sensor, which can be swapped out to customize the Envirobot’s size and sensing functions. The robot travels through the water by moving its sensor modules in unison—like an eel—which allows it to navigate through underwater obstacles without disrupting the environment.
