Runbell Lets Urban Runners Warn Pedestrians Pleasantly

Runbell Lets Urban Runners Warn Pedestrians Pleasantly
Jun-07-14
Designed for urban runners, the Runbell lets you sound a gentle alert to the pedestrians on shared pathways.

Many urban runners find themselves needing to call out to warn slower-moving people that they are about to pass by. To make the task a bit more pleasant and less confrontational, the Runbell replaces the verbal warning with a lightweight, powerful bell. The Runbell's grip, designed to be worn on the index and middle finger, is made of brass-electroplated aluminum, while the bell is solid brass—chosen for its pure and pleasant sound. The bell is rung by a trigger mechanism operated by the thumb, and it can be made compatible with gloves.

The Runbell has already exceeded its funding goal on Kickstarter.
