SC+ Hemodialysis System Goes From the Clinic to Home

Jan-11-15 The SC+ hemodialysis system can be used at a clinic or at home, giving patients a chance to become familiar with the equipment before tackling it on their own.

Developed by Quanta Fluid Solutions, the SC+ is claimed to be only home-use hemodialysis system with the same efficacy and flow rates as conventional machines. The SC+ works using disposable, drop-in cartridges that each contain the required fluid mixing circuitry—eliminating the need for pre-mixing or post-use sanitation—and removing the cartridge readies the device for the next use.

The SC+ recently received approval for use in the EU.
