Sending Phone Notifications Via Vibrating Clothing

Aug-25-15 A patent filed by Microsoft could one day see us receiving phone notifications via vibrations in our clothing.

According to the patent, titled “Wearable Computer Having a Skin-Stimulating Interface,” the system would pair with a mobile device to deliver a slight shock via a conductive element worn in a pocket, on the skin, or woven into the clothing. The system would also have a way to measure the amount of sweat on the person’s skin, since too much moisture could intensify the shocks to the point of discomfort.
