Skarp Laser Razor Cuts with Light

Skarp Laser Razor Cuts with Light
Sep-26-15
The Skarp Laser Razor replaces metal blades for lasers, providing a close, comfortable shave without the need for disposable blades or shaving creams.

Created by Skarp Technologies, the battery-powered razor is equipped with a low-power, class 1 laser able to cut hair as closely as a typical blade, without heating or melting the hair. According to the developer, Morgan Gustavsson, the technology behind the razor is based on his discovery of a chromophore in human hair that can be severed by a specific wavelength of light.

The Skarp Razor can be used comfortably without water—though it is safe to use in the shower—and will shave even the finest hairs.
