SmartHalo Makes Bikes Smarter

SmartHalo Makes Bikes Smarter
Aug-27-15
The SmartHalo navigation system turns a bike into a smart bike, helping cyclists stay on their route while also keeping their eyes on the road.

Although many cyclists rely on their smartphones for navigation assistance, that solution is less than ideal, one reason being the difficulty in seeing the phone’s screen in bright sunlight.

The sleek and minimalist SmartHalo device offers a more visible alternative, with an LED-based system that mounts to the handlebars and communicates with the smartphone to signal a turn by illuminating the appropriate light. The SmartHalo can also perform other functions, including tracking distance and similar metrics, notifying the rider of incoming calls, and even functioning as a bright headlight for evening rides.
