Soft Robotic Glove Improves Grip

Soft Robotic Glove Improves Grip
Oct-09-19
A soft robotic glove able to enhance the wearer’s grip could be a gamechanger for individuals who have grasping difficulties.

Developed by a team from the Wyss Institute, who drew on extensive feedback from testers, the soft robotic glove features tubular-shaped actuators made from Kevlar and silicon. This segmented arrangement ensures the glove is both comfortable and strong, distributing the forces evenly over the hand, while the lightweight control system is small enough to be worn on the belt.
