Solar-Powered Skylock is the Bike Lock for the Future

May-17-14 Joining the ranks of new and improved ways to prevent bike theft, the Skylock bike lock is equipped with keyless entry, tamper alerts and crash detection.

Hailed as 'keyless entry for your bike,' the solar-powered lock can be unlocked via Bluetooth, which also allows it to be shared by different users for a set period of time. The lock can be opened by accessing the app or by simply coming near the bike with the assigned phone, or by a keypad-entered password if the phone is not available. The lock can also be logged into a WiFi network for greater range, if desired.

The Skylock also features an optional "Crash Alert System" that works with the smartphone to send an alarm in the case of a serious crash as well as a built in accelerometer that will trigger an alert if the lock is being tampered with.
