The discrete Nima Sensor lets users test their foods for allergens on-the-go, taking some of the guesswork out of eating pre-packaged or prepared food.
Designed to be quick and easy to use, the Nima Sensor comes with a collection of disposable pods. A small sample of the food in question is placed in one on the pods, which is then inserted into the device, triggered the analysis. The results are obtained within about two minutes, and are displayed on the device itself.
Currently, the Nima can only test for gluten, but the team is working on tests for other allergens, like soy, peanuts and dairy.
