SYNEK System Lets Beer Lovers Tap Into Any Beer

Already exceeding its funding goal on Kickstarter, the SYNEK draft system is made of the dispenser and patent-pending cartridges, which can keep a beer fresh for months. The cartridges can be taken to any participating brewery to be filled up—in much the same way as a growler—and then attached to the tap and pressurized for serving. The amount of pressure and the temperature can be adjusted, and the cartridges of beer can be switched out at any time with very little carbonation loss.

According to developer Steve Young, the product does require that the local breweries participate. However, his research has shown that many breweries are frustrated by the difficulty in maintaining growler quality, and would welcome the innovation.
