TapeFlips Functional and Fun Cardboard Furniture

Sep-26-14 TapeFlips were developed to help make creating functional—and attractive—cardboard furniture a simple as possible.

Hoping to spur on the trend of flat-pack and eco-friendly products, TapeFlips consists of an assortment of water-resistant cardboard pieces and adhesive tape. When the tape is attached to the cardboard pieces in an alternating pattern, they form a secure hinge that can be made even stronger simply by adding more pieces of tape. According to the designers, the easy set-up allows users to re-design the furniture as needed and decorate it at will, and the fun of setting up the furniture can lead to new social dynamics and creative explorations.

The TapeFlips team has not commercialized their product yet, and are still seeking feedback and support.
