The Purloined Powerstrip

Jun-08-12 The PlugBook powerstrip/extension cord sits conveniently on a bookshelf until ready for use, and looks good doing it.

Made of ABS plastic, the PlugBook has dimensions similar to an ordinary book, but hides a retractable 10-foot cable, two power sockets, and two 2-amp USB sockets. A button on the "spine" of the device automatically rewinds the cable, and the built in overheating protection and reset switch ensures it meets safety standards.

Dave Hakkens, creator of the device, is currently seeking funding on Kickstarter.
