The extremely small (and cheap) mCube accelerometers could easily be integrated into clothing, cell phones and sports equipment.

The chips are about half the size of today's accelerometer chips, and are also more power efficient. The company accomplished the reduction in price, size and power consumption by combing the two components of an accelerometer onto a single chip, and also managed to give the device a higher-quality signal. The chips are small enough the replace the gyroscope in a smartphone, and could easily be embedded into clothes or equipment.

According to Ben Lee, mCube CEO: "You could embed it into your clothing so that you don't even know it's there. You could put them in your golf shirt and pants, so immediately after you swing you can get an analysis on your smartphone."
