May-22-19 The packable Travel Tripod from Peak Design is the first truly compact and stable tripod for serious photography.

While most compact tripods are a compromise between portability and stability, the Travel Tripod reimagines the tripod’s design to reduce the negative space that adds to tripod bulk. The standard assortment of knobs for each leg and segment has been replaced with low-profile cam levers, which can be flipped open simultaneously while the tripod is packed for a ten-second full deployment. When compacted for travel, the Travel Tripod will compress to only 15.5 inches long with a 3.25-inch diameter, about half the size of standard travel tripod options.
