A new collapsible scooter takes portable transportation to the next level by letting the commuter wear the scooter around their waist.
The scooter, from designer Ádám Török, is made up of a curved piece of wood that functions as the base, a pair of small wheels on either end, and a segmented handle that extends vertically to provide the support for the standing rider. The key to the scooter's design lies in the handle, which has been separated in to segments that can be tightened with an inner strap to create a sturdy support for the rider. Loosening the strap allows the handle to be wrapped around the waist and tucked under the curved base, where it can then be carried (worn) hands-free to the final destination.
