The innovative wind-powered WaterSeer generates clean drinking water from the air.
Developed by VICI-Labs in conjunction with UC Berkeley and the National Peace Corps, the WaterSeer can produce up to 11 gallons of clean drinking water a day via condensation, with no external power or chemical required.
To operate, the WaterSeer unit is designed with its condensation chamber planted about six feet in the ground, where it is naturally cooled by the soil. As the wind spins the attached turbine, internal blades direct air into the buried chamber, causing the water vapor in the warmer air to condense and gather in the reservoir for collection. The water can be extracted via a hose and pump, and the system will continue to collect water both day and night.
