Wearable Air Conditioning Unit

Wearable Air Conditioning Unit
Jul-06-20
A team of researchers at the NC State University could have found the material of tomorrow's clothing.

This smart fabric could be used in clothes that would heat or cool the wearer. This would be achieved by introducing tiny carbon nanotubes (CNT), containing a mix of electrical, thermal, and physical properties, inside of the fabric of clothes. The researchers enhanced the properties of the carbon nanotubes to make it more resistant to air exposure.

The major concern is to make a fabric that isn't harmful to humans, but that is also not expensive. These carbon nanotubes happen to be safe for humans and relatively cheap. The objective is to heat or cool the person wearing clothes made of this fabric, but not to change the body's temperature itself.

This new fabric could revolutionize the clothing and fashion industry of the future.
