Wearable MasterCaution Device Monitors and Transmits Cardiac Data

Wearable MasterCaution Device Monitors and Transmits Cardiac Data
Aug-27-15
The MasterCaution Device from HealthWatch offers a comfortable and convenient way to monitor a patient’s cardiac health, even while the patient is moving about.

Recently awarded CE approval, the MasterCaution Device (MCD) combines the functions of an ECG machine, event recorder, long-term Holter monitor and remote telemetry device into a wearable unit. Designed to be used with the company’s hWear 12-lead ECG shirt (which is able to monitor an ambulatory patient’s heart signal) the MCD can hold up to 72 hours of readings, which can also be transmitted via Bluetooth to a paired device for a cardiologist’s review. In addition to the ECG readings the MCD will also gather other useful information, such as patient posture, motion, respiration and body temperature.
