Wize Mirror Monitors Daily Health

Jul-30-15 Check your health while you check your hair with the Wize Mirror, a smart device that will track changes in your appearance to spot signs of disease before major symptoms begin to show.

Developed by a consortium of EU researchers, the Wize Mirror prototype device is equipped with an array of sensors and cameras able to monitor subtle changes in the user’s appearance, diet, and even emotional state. A 3D scanning camera will detect changes in the skin’s structure (such as weight gain or swelling), while facial recognition software scans the individual’s face for signs of stress or depression. Other features include a multi-spectral imaging system to check for signs of diabetes, and even a gas monitor that analyzes the breath for ‘noxious habits’ linked to health problems.
