Wove Band is the Most Flexible Electronic Yet

Aug-24-15 The Polyera Wove Band smartwatch uses Digital Fabric to boast an E-ink display that takes up most of the band’s surface.

The Wove Band is the result of Polyera’s patented Flexible Thin-Film Transistors which lets the backplane of the digital screen flex along with the frontplane OLED and E-ink displays. The result is a wearable with an E-ink display that makes up 75 percent of the device’s surface. While not entirely attractive, with its blocky graphic and tones of gray, the Wove Band technology opens the door to a new generation of flexible electronics.
