Zinger Electric Wheelchair is World's Lightest

Zinger Electric Wheelchair is World's Lightest
Jul-21-14
The ultra-portable, electric Zinger wheelchair is the lightest electric wheelchair available, offering more portability options to people with limited mobility.

The chair weighs only 38 pounds and can travel at speeds of up to six miles an hour for up to eight miles. Instead of the usual joystick control, Zinger can be steered by a pair of right- and left-hand levers by pulling both levers up to go, down to brake, and one at a time to turn—which allows the chair to be pulled up directly to a desk. The Zinger also has a very tight turn radius, and can features a "learning mode" that allows new users to get used to controlling the device.

The Zinger does require the use of the legs and feet for some of its controls, and so is being marketed at a 'comfort device' rather than a medical necessity.
