Zoom Jet Conserves Charcoal and Saves Lives

Sep-27-14 The Zoom Jet cookstove was created with the needs of developing countries in mind, and was designed with the help of local women.

The latest offering from cookstove manufacturers EcoZoom, the Zoom Jet charcoal-only stove is the first to use both radiation and convection heat—allowing it to burn efficiently while using 60 percent less charcoal. In addition to saving fuel, the stove also burns clean, with no smoke—an important characteristic considering the Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves estimates that 575,000 Africans die from cookstove fumes each year.

The Zoom Jet was recently awarded the Gold in the 2014 International Design Excellence Awards.
