Chemical Reactor with Nanometric Superstructure

The invention relates to a chemical reactor having a nanometric structure and including at least one member in which is formed at least one reaction chamber, said chamber being at least partially filled with a high specific-surface material having a specific surface higher than 5 m2/g, characterised in that said high specific-surface material is selected from nanotubes or nanofibres. The nanotubes or nanofibres are preferably selected in the group comprising carbon nanotubes or nanofibres, ss-SiC nanotubes or nanofibres and TiO2 nanotubes or nanofibres. They can be deposited on an intermediate structure selected in the group comprising glass fibres, carbon fibres, SiC foams, carbon foams, cellular ss-SiC foams, said intermediate structure at least partially filling the reaction chamber of the reactor.
