The invention relates to a compact, portable instrument that is easy to use, enabling the patient to evaluate him/herself in a few seconds whether the blood circulation in his/her retina is correct, and to therefore self-detect pathologies such as vascular retinopathies, arteriosclerosis or diabetic retinopathy inter alia.
