Hygro-adjustable Wall Base Ventilation System for the Treatment of Rising Damp'

This patent of invention relates to a hygro- adjustable wall base ventilation system (3) intended both for accelerating the process of transporting humidity outwards and decreasing the level reached by the rising damp. The said system comprises a mechanical ventilation device (8) which is activated by a control module (7), the latter being associated to two probes (5 and 6), temperature and relative humidity, respectively, which measure the hygrothermal conditions of the system inlet (1) and exhaust (2) air. The ventilator (8) has a variable speed and is hygro-adjustable, so it is started whenever the inlet steam pressure is lower than the exhaust steam pressure, as well as when the inlet relative humidity is higher than a preset value.; The system is applicable in all cases where it is to be installed at a height above that of the ground-water table and it is aimed at limiting the level reached by the rising damp in historical buildings /monuments.
