IdeaConnection is Proud to Announce New Management of Virtual Teams for the Company

Nicole Simair has a wide range of responsibilities with a focus on working with potential problem-solvers and coordinating expert facilitators worldwide.

IdeaConnection is proud to announce that Nicole Simair is heading up the management of virtual teams for the company. She has a wide range of responsibilities with a focus on working with potential problem-solvers and coordinating expert facilitators worldwide. She also liaises with the teams and the solution-seeker.

Nicole Simair is a shoe-in to work with problem solver teams and facilitators. “I love interviewing potential problem-solvers and facilitators, from the U.S. to Columbia to Europe, and it is so rewarding to see the results of a solution first-hand,” Simair says. “To successfully put a team together, you have to be able to adapt to each team member’s personality; you have to be a quick study and be able to gauge their abilities and expertise on the spot."

Being a good listener is one of Simair’s attributes. And she has a deep understanding of culture, which is key to working with teams worldwide. Simair draws on her diverse work experience and education to get the job done. “From my own experience, when I am vetting facilitators, I’m looking for someone who will be an ideal manager so I look for someone who motivates me. I will put myself in the situation of a team member, and the problem to be solved is secondary.”

Simair graduated from the University of Victoria with a BSc. in biology, where she realized her passion for discovering new ideas by studying the imaginative and innovative thinkers of our past. She then spent three years learning about the inner workings of small to medium sized businesses as a trusted advertising representative. Simair is excited to combine her scientific interests with her business knowledge in her role with IdeaConnection. She loves to problem solve, and commits thoroughly to all challenges that the company and open innovation has.

“Nicole is a delight to work with; she is very responsive and insightful and besides that she is just plain fun,“ says facilitator Lisa Sing from Dayton, Ohio, who has worked on at least 10 challenges with IdeaConnection and is currently working on two more.
