Disposal of Nuclear Waste |
 |
|
All nuclear power plants ultimately will produce radioactive waste. We must find a way to dispose or "harness" this waste. The current "solution" of placing/burying it in the ground, is not a real solution, it only delays or hides the problem.
[JOIN] a group of volunteers working collaboratively on developing innovative solutions to this problem. The team's solution(s) will be published here.

Dilute low level waste can be concentrated into small volume residues by steam reforming the organics away (gloves, aprons, plastic boxes) as syngas at 600C. The syngas can be used as ordinary fuel.,... - Paul Comet
A great deal of nuclear waste is not really waste at all! President Clinton discouraged countries like Spain (where I work) from reprocessing spent fuel, so it can only go through the reactor once, l... - Tim Potten
