Lack of New Creative Ways of Educating |
 |
|
In the western world we are still teaching to suit an industrialized and commercial world, even as the world is changing.
Teachers report lack of attention in the kids, probably caused or influenced by modern day media and new generation parenting.
Lack of jobs and hope lies at the heart of this.
We need to better separate education from vocational training.
Mostly, there are two linked problems 1) often the education as delivered fails to capture the imagination of the child 2) education isn't matched to vocational and professional necessity and opportunity or framed accordingly.
Many are working on this problem and it will all come down to the school and the teacher.
How can we better involve parents and focus on the student?
