Segregated housing brings crime & low quality of life for moderate to low income families.

Some effort has been made to require new housing developments to include a certain percentage of affordable housing units, but the developers generally resist this. As a result, neighborhoods are economically segregated. This brings high crime, blight, and low moral for those living in these clusters of low end housing.
