Accessing non obvious technology for military usefulness

Post a Problem
Obviously, technology like nuclear power, radar, explosives, guns, gps and radios have military applications. My question is are their technologies that are either around or being developed that have usefulness in warfare and national defense that are not obvious? If so what are they? How should they be developed? What are the uses of the technology? How can the technology be countered? I am only interested in technology that is open source.
