Emotional Abuse

Post a Problem
Physical violence needs no description, but emotional abuse is less recognized. Emotional abuse as part of an intimate partner relationship may involve something as simple as repeated belittling or as complex as repeated threats to kill the partner, kidnap the children, or otherwise ruin the partner's life. Emotional abuse may also involve concerted efforts by one partner to isolate the other from positive social interaction or to distance the partner from his or her family.

Emotional abuse can cause fear, exhaustion, depression, anxiety, and other psychiatric disorders. Yet help is available.
