Did you know that some refugees enter the United States as minors - with no family to take care of them? In fact, the U.S. Refugee Program runs a special Unaccompanied Refugee Minor Program for these youths, as well as minors that enter the U.S., legally, as refugees, with their families but later are separated following family disintegration, abuse, neglect, or similar events.

It is hard enough to be a refugee: there are customs to be absorbed, a new language to learn, and often horrible abuses to overcome. It is harder still for those that come alone, hardest of all for those that come alone - as children.
