Art for all

Post a Problem
Art is too often considered the realm of the elites, something enjoyed by a select and "cultured" few alone. Which class, the upper-middle or the lower, is more likely to take its children to visit a museum? Which children, those whose parents can pay for special classes or those whose parents can't, are more likely to have special painting, pottery, and/or piano lessons? Yet art holds the potential to benefit individuals from all walks of life. It is an outlet for creative expression, a means of sharing one's pain and triumphs with the world, and the bearer of history for generations to come. How can access to art best be expanded so that all can appreciate and benefit from it?
