Protocol for Intervention on Child Trafficking.

Post a Problem
The major victims are children with limited parental care such as orphans, children of single adolescent mothers, and children from poor backgrounds with limited capacity to enroll or stay in school. The traditional practice of child fostering, poverty and the gross ignorance amongst most rural communities can be said to be increasing the demand for child labour and perpetrating child trafficking.

Through outreach activities, has identified many victims of child trafficking while others are referred to office by collaborators. The organization is now faced with the problem of properly managing the ever increasing number of victims of child trafficking. The urgent need for a victim intervention protocol is felt now more than ever before. Such a protocol, understood by all staff and volunteers will harmonize the quality of services offered to clients by all members of the family.

Being one of the first organizations in Cameroon offering innovative services to victims of child trafficking, there are very few success cases to learn from. We therefore need the skills of individuals and/or groups with experience in the rescue and rehabilitation of victims of trafficking to help us develop an intervention protocol adapted to our African context. The volunteer will work with our team of four to develop the protocol. Volunteer could work online or otherwise.
